Thing #22 and #23

Reflecting:
I am pleased that this process provided an opportunity to examine some of the technology and communication methods that have been appearing and analyze how they can be used educationally. For me, it was an excuse to get out of the rut of "one of those things I mean to do" but never seem to get around to. Some of the Things were familiar while others were tools I had never heard of. Some of the 23 Things will definitely be making an appearance in my teaching next year.

I was happy to help participants who needed help understanding some of the assignments. It grounded my own learning.

I would have preferred to have had a list of all 23 Things up front so that I could work on them my own pace. I am not a person who is motivated by outside or peer pressure, so the format of the class wasn't a great fit for me.

Moving on:
I have inspired MILICA R. to join 23 Things next year! She is motivated to join because of how much she has been hearing about the 23 Things and their uses. She's even ahead of the game because she has already been inspired to learn, and apply to her teaching, a few of this year's 23 Things! She thinks that blogs and avatars might be particularly useful in situations where instruction needs to continue but students cannot come to school.
